Who is PolaGen?

Wed Jan 21, 2009, 10:49 AM
Hi,

my name is =rawimage, the creator of the Polaroid- and other Generators (that can be found HERE).

On this account I'm collecting as many Gens as I can find by searching for the terms "polaroid generator", "Holgaroid" Holga Generator" etc. I'm not going to dive into the vast search results for "Polaroid" or any related film types. Anyone who tries to hide or even deny the use of my Pola actions can kiss my - uhm - should do so...

I'll upload some of my results as well. Everyone's invited to join me in doing so. Just send me a note if you would like to upload your work here at PolaGen.

If you'd like to have your piece removed from this page for any reason, please send me an email or a note to my main account =rawimage, because I won't stick around here very often.

Last but not least thanks for all your submissions, your kind credits and the proper tagging!

Have fun!

Hello, one of my hobbies is action scripting (who would have thought of that?). Or should I say action recording? Because actually that's all you have to do - pressing Record and Stop. I'm too lazy to learn a real computer language, but imagine the possibilities if I could.
Back in the late 80's, early 90's when you still could purchase Polaroid Film (600) almost everywhere, I hated it. It looked cheap and shitty. The tones were disgusting. Film was expensive. So I left it anlone. It was years later I started to love and appreciate Polaroid when I found great artists here at deviantfART that opened my eyes for the beauty and potential that lies within this media. One day I thought: "Let's see, maybe I can reproduce it with Photoshop." Although some outcomes might let you think of Polaroid, I still think I can't. At least not with an action that is far too limited.
Hm, mayby I actually should learn a computer language...
